Good stuff. Thanks for the interview. Often (in RPCNA circles) this discussion turns into exclusive psalmody or whether or not there should be instruments. I appreciate Darryl’s emphasis on the major elements of worship. Song can sometimes be pedagogical and thus not prayer but declaration of Biblical truth, so in terms of the dialog it could be considered God’s speech.

I agree with Terry, good stuff in this interview. Darryl have you written on this topic, other than the elusive Mother Kirk, which before finishing went back to my son-in-law, S. Coleman. T. David Gordon’s articles have been very helpful in thinking this doctrine through (as has Scott’s book). I’m just wondering if you have any RPW articles lurking out there somewhere… Also, I got a kick out of the tidbit that when out-of-town you have visited an Episcopal church, given that the BCP (even the 1979) keeps the service from wandering hither and yon. How much better the 1662!
